AAMA 501.2 Test at Hospital Clinic in Los Angeles
We were contracted to perform an AAMA 501.2 standardized test at this Los Angeles building. First of all, our test was actually in response to previous testing that had already been performed, which showed previous failures. In other words, we were to perform new testing as a Quality Control measure for this client. With that said, our testing was performed in the same manner as the initial round of testing. Consequently, our tests also showed some new failures at a few test locations much like the first test that had to be remediated by the contractors.
However, our testing actually incorporated infrared thermography practices (IR Scanning) as an additional visual aid so water intrusion was able to be seen more quickly than the naked eye and then physically verified by test personnel.
